Photocopies of news articles, transcriptions of news articles copied from the Dunn County News, notes, and some original materials which Mrs. Klatt gathered together and transcribed about certain subjects of interest to Menomonie and Dunn County history including the brickmaking industry in Menomonie; Dunnville, Wis, ; early Menomonie; The Knapp, Stout & Co., Company; Mable Tainter Building; Oaklawn Stock Farm; Andrew Tainter home (a.k.a. Bertha Tainter Hall); and biographical information on early Menomonie citizens. Of particular interest is a series of transcribed articles and presentations of Charles E. Freeman on early Menomonie, The Knapp-Stout & Co., Company, Stout Manual Training School; and the Baptist Church. Mrs. Klatt painstakingly transcribed and typed much of the material found in this collection and used it in expanding her knowledge of Menomonie history and in making historical presentations to the Menomonie community.
